Social Media Strategy
You’ve set up your Facebook and Twitter accounts—now what? You need to strategize, construct a plan of action, and then execute it. Join Danielle Tropea, creator of Celebrity Baby, a blog with a monthly readership of 3 million before she sold it for millions to People.com/Time, as she addresses guests at the Professionals In Media (PIM) meeting to discuss social media strategies.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 19, at 7 p.m. at Ethical Culture Society, 516 Prospect Avenue, Maplewood, NJ 07040. Please bring a beverage of your choice to share at a casual reception preceding the presentation. A donation of $10 is requested. RSVP (see below).
Ms. Tropea, a social media and blogging veteran, will show you how to construct and tell your marketing story on social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, as well as the general etiquette and tips and tricks on running your social media identity like a well-oiled machine.
Since selling Celebrity Baby, Ms. Tropea (formerly Friedland) runs social media programs for the non-profit Healthy Child Healthy World and baby retailer Giggle. She has also created and managed blogs for nursing bra manufacturer Bravado and Giggle.
PIM was established by South Orange residents Jacqueline Herships and Michele C. Hollow in 2007 to provide an informal and entertaining networking forum for journalists, novelists, fine artists, PR practitioners, photographers, actors, directors, and other professionals such as lawyers and tech people who support them.
You can join Professionals in Media (PIM) on linkedin.com or
visit http://professionalsinmedia.org for program information.
Email Jackie (Jacqueline Herships) to be added to the PIM mailing list, and remember to bring your business cards to the meeting.
